Aanya Ismail was born in the sunny state of California, where she first found her love for nature and storytelling. She strongly believes in storytelling as a means of change making and teaches powerful stories for a living! She currently teaches high school English, works as an editor, and is writing a young adult novel after having published In the Language of the Land, her first children’s book.
