Note from the Editor: The stories in this issue beautifully explore trauma, loss, and accomplishment. Trauma subjected upon women, an occurrence much too common in today’s modern society, is detailed in PTSD and The Cake Cutting. These stories bravely illustrate the dangerous world that many women live in, regardless of status. Yellow Kodak combines love, loss, duty, and nostalgia to create a story that sticks around after the reading is done. And That’s my Dad, touches the heart and resonates with all that have walked across the stage at commencement. Although each story tackles a different issue, the common thread is that regardless of the situation, in the end, by luck, hard work, rage, or by acts of service, it is possible to come out on top.
