Submit
Brattle Street Review welcomes unsolicited submissions of original fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, poetry, photography, and visual artwork. There is no cost to submit.
We are thrilled to announce that, in cooperation with the Harvard Library, all content published by Brattle Street Review will be archived in the Harvard University Archives, located in the Pusey Library in Harvard Yard. The Harvard University Archives is the primary repository for the documentation of almost 400 years of Harvard’s intellectual, cultural, social, religious, and administrative history.
What does this mean for you? Works you submit to Brattle Street Review, if published, will be collected and stored in the University Archives to ensure that your voice and work is not lost to future researchers. Simply put, your work will outlive you.
Submission Guidelines
Only current students or alumni of Harvard University may submit work for consideration. Verification of student or alumni status is required prior to publication. The easiest way to verify your status is to submit using your student or alumni email address.
Please submit only one piece per submission. Feel free to submit often, but each piece must be submitted individually.
Submit only previously unpublished works. Unpublished works created in Harvard classes are eligible to be submitted.
By submitting, you grant Brattle Street Publishing the right to publish your work in digital and physical format without the expectation of compensation. This includes the annual paperback, hardcover, and eBook editions. Please limit short stories to 2,500 words and poetry to 500 words. (Exceptions can be made for extraordinarily written pieces).
Simultaneous submissions welcome, as long as you withdraw them immediately if accepted elsewhere. Withdraw by emailing editor@brattlestreetreview.com.
Please be patient with us while we carefully consider your work. Submission does not guarantee publication.
